Rug clean up, room rearrange and some Photoooos...

...so I left from work early yesterday to help take care of the wet rug situation. I should have taken pictures to show the steps we took. I got the wet dry vac from Gmom carter and started sucking up the dampness from the top of the rug. That didnt seem to being doing much so I pulled up the carpet to start on teh foam padding. The padding was soaked and since it wasn't that big of an area(no bigger than 4x4 feet) we ripped up the soaking wet padding. Under that the hardwood floor was pretty bad. I hit that with the Vac to take off the wetness and then hit everything with Lysol and put a fan on it. i continued with the Vac for a bit but it was the fan that dried things up.

We popped out to a carpet place and I got a square of padding for $5. We also hit Old Navy and Five Below while we were out.

Got home let the floor dry a bit more, put the padding down and put the carpet back in place. We lured Peter in as he was walking home from work to comment on how we were thinking on rearrangeing the living room. We pushed the small couch into the middle of the room. It makes a sort of sitting area. Then brought the Computer out of the backroom and put it into the bay window. it works out nice. It also frees up alot of room in the playroom. From left to right in the photo:My CD Software Binder,the PC, On the PC, front to back: Phone(sunrocket), Wireless Mouse base, x10 RF Reciever, DSL modem, Sunrocket Gizmo. On table Speakers, USB Hub, Kodak Easy Share Camera, HP printer, scanner, copier, 19'Nec monitor,on top of the monitor is the x10 Remote, boring but strong Compaq Slimline keyboard, Microsoft Wireless intellimouse, phone (verizon) being used as a baby monitor ,On the floor is the SubWoofer.
