Moving to Yahoo! 360

I am making the switch over to Yahoo!360.

So this will be my connection post. I will keep this blog alive as long as they let dead blogs stay around. If blogger goes under and I have time I wil archive it on either Yahoo!360 or at home. Although maybe Google will have stuff that compares to Yahoos current set up.

Yahoo! 360° - My Blog

Yahoo! 360 is looking very good together with my yahoo! home page. If Google and blogger dont catch up very soon I'll be making the big jump and just using Gmail.
I would miss using Hello but all of the other stuff out weighs that.

Laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair From Abingtons Web Site

Health Library -

Sarah may have a Umbilical hernia.

Sarah has an umbilical hernia, looks pretty harmless if it gets taken care of.

Here is some info.
Dr. Koop - Umbilical hernia

Laparoscopic surgery
Many hernia repairs can now be performed through Laparoscopic surgery. The surgeon uses a special viewing instrument called a laparoscope, inserted through a small incision in the abdomen. The laparoscope is like a tiny video camera that gives the surgeon a clear view of the abdominal area. Other small incisions are made to insert the surgical instruments used to push the intestine into place and repair the abdominal wall. The surgeon may use a procedure called hernioplasty to reinforce the entire inguinal area with synthetic material, like a tire patch. Laparoscopic hernia surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis. Incarcerated and strangulated hernias require emergency surgery and hospitalization. Laparoscopic surgery may not be recommended for very large hernias.

Picture at verizon

It's a GO with Verizon phone and DSL.

I entered this at broadbandreports.com

05/03/05
Just ordered the Unlimited Freedom Plan with DSL it will be @$95(after taxes). Fist month of DSL is free. I am switching from MCI's unlimited plan because they we can not get DSL with them. I was paying @70(after taxes) plus $9 for dial up from Highstream. Comcast is not an option right now because we can not afford the Phone service and a cable bill at the same time and we are not ready to switch over to a VOIP yet. So for about $15 more then we are used to we get the DSL :o)

we get to keep our same MCI number too, which is good.

I am only 1300+ feet from our CO so we should get the 3kbs connection :o)

While on the phone the "Welcoming" person waved a debt that we owed to verizon some 4 years ago...$989 and $250. That made my day right there!

The phone should be switched over in two days and the wireless modem/router will be sent to us.

Ill update as we go along.

Called Verizon for Phone and DSL info

Verizon notes:
800-660-2215

Unlimited long distance and local is 44.95 round up to $60 after taxes and stuff. @2 days to set up.

DSL is $35 after taxes and stuff for 3kbs down since we are only 1300ft from the CO. @10 days to set up.

They bill on the 13th and balance is due around the 11th of the next month. First bill would not have the DSL on it but wouldhave extra on it due to billing cycles and such.

The CO is at 216 s. third street.

The would have to run a dreaded credit check first...one of us owes them money. we would have to figure out who the account was under before.

Phone internet
Current(After taxes and such) MCI $70+ Highstream $9 =@$80
Verizon @$60 DSL @$35 =@$95

So its about a $15 dollar difference which is doable. We just have to pass the credit check.
