Camping on Assateague Island...

"Here’s a wimp warning — there is absolutely no shade on the island. The sun can be brutal during the summer, especially when reflected off the water and white sand..."

Camping on Assateague Island, Go World Travel Online Magazine

Just looking forward to our little vacation here. Bummer though it looks like the Oceanside camp sites do not have ground fire pits...

However, they do have lots of jellyfish...little glowing round ones. You could also probably create some sort of air-pit of flaming mosquitoes if you gathered them in with a fire proof filiment of some sort. Then you could cook on the go. I'm still not sold on the three column format. I'd rather have a vertical bar of text and sub sections beneath it. Is that possible?
Have fun on your trip!!

Amy, what are you on? ;)

About the layout. It has been found that most people do not scroll down when they open up a webpage for the first time or if nothing grabs their attention. So what you have to do when creating a web page is to put as much interesting/ informative stuff on the part of the web page that people will first see.

So if you only have one column with your main blog (or what ever the page may be) and then other stuff lower on the page; the other stuff may never be seen.
