I was going to wait till the official Ubuntu 8.10 at the end of the month or for Chrome for linux but just decided to jump back in...
Our friend treated us to a Statue of Liberty outing today. I have never been there so it was a real treat. It was a great day. I put the pictures into a slide show since there were so many. Check out Sarah's BLOG as she will have the pictures from the regular camera.
You can't go up in the statue anymore but, you can get to the observation deck right under her. Leaning back to get this shot, I felt like the stone wall in back of me wasn't strong enough and I had felt like I needed to really have as much contact with the wall as possible. It felt like you were just going to fly over the edge or your camera was going to leap from your hands... More pics to come. The few I posted so far were done when i was able to hook up to free wifi on the island....
Fourteen rows of foreign cars and here is what I need:
1. Two P195/60 or 65 R14 tires.
2. Dashboard air vent- center right.
3. Tail light
4. Volume knob.
5. Ball joint washer plate thing.
6. Left side hood pad thing.
I did get everything I went for. The tires came from a Nissan so, I had to have a garage swap the rims. below are the cars that I scavenged from.
Good news, good news! I'll be starting my new job on October 20th!
Thanks to everyone that helped me out with my job search.
After we helped out with Yoda in the previous post, we went to check out the store.
Check out that line... We walked around the mall, ate, then my mom went to start waiting in line. It took an hour or so to get in. They would let a family go in after a family came out. Then it was another line inside once you picked something out to buy.
They had little spots in the wall for displays.. I thought the butterfly one was cool...
Then there is the $500 Falcon... Really, $500.
They had all kind of single pieces to buy too. I think it was like $7 to fill a small bucket and $12 for a large bucket.
And a shot of some miniFigs...
I guess I should have gotten a shot of Gryphon with his new set but, I didn't.
So we went to the Grand Opening of the KoP LEGO store today. It packed and full of "Brick-citement".
First up was the building of a huge Yoda near the Elevator. What they did is set up a bunch of tables and let everyone build bricks and then the builder would take the bricks and build Yoda...
Gryphon gets his build on...
Devin jumped in too...
Gryphon's finished brick.
Yoda takes shape.
Yoda from above and about two hours later then the picture above.
